About these terms

These terms apply to Hushed Studio, its website and creative workspace. By creating an account or purchasing Studio credit you agree to these terms and the purchase terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service is operated by Hushed Chat, with its registered address in China. References to “we”, “us” or “our” mean Hushed Chat.

Age and account security

Hushed is available to users outside mainland China who are at least 18 years old and can enter into an agreement under the laws that apply to them. The service is not offered to users in mainland China. You must not misrepresent your age or location to bypass this restriction. Access remains subject to applicable law. Provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials private and use only accounts you are authorized to access.

Product

Hushed Studio helps adults create and organise characters, worlds, lorebooks and prompt packs, with optional AI writing, images, video and voice. Features depend on model and provider availability. AI output can be inaccurate and is not professional advice.

Credit packages and delivery

Studio credit packages are one-time digital purchases, not subscriptions. Purchased credit does not expire and is usable only in Studio. Gift and historical promotional credit are recorded separately and follow the conditions shown when granted. Credit is not money, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and cannot currently be exchanged for Chat credit.

Payment uses Waffo Pancake hosted checkout. Review the package, currency, taxes and final total before paying. Credit is delivered after verified payment confirmation; returning from checkout alone does not confirm payment. Check orders and balance before retrying a delayed payment, or contact connect@hushed.tech with the order reference. Do not send card numbers or security codes.

Subscriptions renew monthly or yearly. Annual plans charge the full annual price upfront and grant credits monthly. Cancel renewal anytime; paid benefits and monthly grants continue until the paid period ends. Prices are in USD; applicable taxes and the final total appear at checkout. Only offers available in Studio can be purchased.

Task usage and separate balances

Tasks reserve credit before starting, settle actual usage on completion and release unused reservations on failure or cancellation. A reservation is not a consumption charge. BYOK model usage is billed by your provider; the task shows any Studio charges before it starts.

Refunds and payment support

For your first Studio credit purchase, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days, once per customer, regardless of usage in that period. Later purchases and requests after that window are generally non-refundable unless required by law. Verified duplicate charges and billing errors will be corrected or refunded; permanent discontinuation unrelated to your breach entitles you to a refund of the unused prepaid portion. Approved refunds reverse the remaining credit associated with the refunded purchase.

Email connect@hushed.tech from your account email with the order reference and reason. We aim to respond within 2 business days and issue an approved refund to the original payment method within 5 business days; your provider may take longer. Mandatory withdrawal, refund and other consumer rights take priority.

Acceptable use

Use Hushed lawfully and respect other people and their rights. You must not:

• Create or distribute sexual content involving minors, exploitative material or non-consensual intimate content.
• Threaten, harass, defraud or impersonate others, or disclose someone else’s private information without authorization.
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights or use generated content to mislead people about a real person’s identity or actions.
• Deploy malware, evade access restrictions, interfere with security or overload the service through automated extraction or other abusive activity.
• Sell access to another person’s account or present AI conversations as advice from a qualified professional.

AIGC content standards

• Pornography and NSFW: do not generate or distribute sexually explicit material, nudity for sexual gratification or pornographic content, including fictional or synthetic depictions.
• Violence and gore: do not generate graphic injury, dismemberment, torture, extreme gore or content that promotes or facilitates real violence.
• Hate speech: do not generate hateful abuse, dehumanisation, discriminatory attacks or incitement against people based on protected characteristics.
• Child safety and CSAM: no sexualisation, exploitation or abuse of minors, including fictional, AI-generated or age-ambiguous depictions, grooming or instructions facilitating child harm.
• Deepfakes and impersonation: no deceptive impersonation, unauthorised use of a real person’s identity, non-consensual intimate imagery or misleading synthetic endorsements. Obtain required consent for likeness and voice use.
• Copyright and trademarks: no unauthorised copying, distribution or generation that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights. Upload references only when authorised.

Platform moderation and reporting

Report suspected violations to connect@hushed.tech. Include the work or task URL/ID, the category and a short explanation; do not forward illegal material or unnecessary personal data. Hushed Studio operations is responsible for human review of reports and flagged content. Provider safety refusals may also apply; they do not replace our review. We do not claim that every output is automatically screened or manually approved before generation.

We aim to complete an initial human review within 2 business days. Child-safety reports and credible imminent threats are prioritised, with an initial response within 24 hours where practicable. Complex cases may require more time; we will communicate status or request necessary information. These are response targets, not guarantees of a final decision within those periods.

After verification we may reject further generation, restrict access, remove public availability of offending content or suspend the account. Serious or illegal content may be reported to competent authorities where required by law. We notify the reporter and affected user of the outcome where lawful and appropriate, without disclosing another person’s private information. Reply to the same email to appeal; a human reviews the explanation and restores access if the restriction was mistaken.

Your content and intellectual property

You retain any rights you already hold in content you submit. You must have the rights needed to upload it. You permit Hushed to process that content as necessary to deliver the features you choose, such as generating a reply or displaying a character you publish.

Publishing a character or other material makes it available to other users according to the visibility you select. Do not publish private information you intend to keep confidential.

AI responses may resemble other outputs and may not qualify for exclusive legal protection. Review output before sharing or using it. Hushed’s branding, interface and software remain protected by their respective owners’ rights.

Privacy policy

We process account identifiers and authorised profile information through Clerk, your adult declaration, language and time zone; creative works, versions, prompts, Agent conversations, uploaded references and generated media; order references, payment status, credit lots, reservations and consumption records; and connection information needed to deliver and secure the service. Avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information.

Service restrictions and termination

Access may be restricted when necessary to respond to abuse, security threats, nonpayment or legal requirements. Where appropriate, the reason and available resolution steps will be communicated to you.

To request access, correction, export, deletion of cloud data or account closure, email support@hushed.chat from your registered email and identify Hushed Studio. We may verify your identity. We respond within applicable legal time limits. Exporting a work or clearing device storage does not delete your cloud account. Legal retention of billing records and outstanding refund rights remain applicable.

Disclaimers and your legal rights

We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, preservation of device-only drafts or the accuracy of AI responses. Assess responses before acting on them and maintain your own copies of important content.

Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any limitations must be interpreted consistently with mandatory consumer protections.

Changes, disputes and contact

Material changes will be identified on this page and communicated through appropriate service notices. The updated date identifies the version you are reading. Where required, renewed agreement will be requested before new terms apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without excluding mandatory protections that apply in your place of residence. Contact us first to try to resolve a dispute. Nothing here prevents you from bringing a claim before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
